Welcome to Gullak Guru — a student-run organization built around a simple idea: everyone deserves the knowledge and confidence to navigate a world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and financial decisions.

Technology and money touch nearly every part of our lives. AI is changing how we learn, work, communicate, and solve problems. At the same time, financial decisions — from saving and budgeting to avoiding scams and understanding investments — can have a lifelong impact.

Yet access to clear, practical education in these areas is far from equal.

That is why Gullak Guru focuses on two generations that can especially benefit from accessible, approachable learning: students and seniors.

For students, we want to make AI and financial literacy feel practical, engaging, and relevant. That means going beyond definitions and textbooks to explore questions such as: How does AI actually work? How can you use it responsibly? How should you budget your first paycheck? What is compound interest? How do you distinguish between a smart financial decision and something that simply sounds exciting?

For seniors, the questions may look different but are just as important. How can AI make everyday life easier? How can you recognize an AI-generated scam? How do digital payments work? What should you know before sharing financial or personal information online?

Our goal is not to turn everyone into an AI engineer or a financial expert. It is to help people become more informed, more confident, and better prepared to make decisions for themselves.

Built by Students, Designed for Impact

Gullak Guru is proudly student-run.

We believe young people do not have to wait until adulthood to make a difference. Students can teach, learn, research, create, volunteer, and help solve real problems in their communities today.

Through Gullak Guru, we hope to develop educational resources, interactive lessons, quizzes, workshops, community programs, and other tools that make complicated ideas easier to understand. We also hope to create opportunities for students to work directly with seniors and other learners — making education a two-way, intergenerational experience.

And while our organization may be student-led, our mission is much bigger than any one student or team.
